Designing a Luxurious Spa Bathroom on a Budget

Whether you are a frequent traveller or an occasional holidaymaker, staying in a luxury hotel has, most probably, allowed you to experience the comforts of a spa bathroom. This may have inspired you to create a similar space in your home, but you must have hesitated when you thought of the possible expenses that would be involved in such a home improvement project. However, there are ingenious methods you can employ to have such a bathroom in your own house without having to spend a lot for it.

The first step in the process requires a total clean-up of the place. Clutter can make any area look unkempt, so get rid of everything that you no longer use such as empty shampoo bottles and rolled-up toothpaste tubes. After you have cleared up the bathroom, start decorating it with the essential spa elements.

Purchase wicker or bamboo baskets and use these as receptacles for multicoloured soaps with pleasing natural scents. Additionally, make sure that you buy large fluffy towels made of the finest materials, fold them carefully, and place them in one of the baskets, too.

Next, select a soothing colour for the room such as pale blues or greens and paint your walls with your preferred shade. Install a dimmer switch on your light fixtures as well so you can easily adjust the level of illumination in the bathroom. Buy thick rugs with subtle designs and arrange them on the floors, then complete the atmosphere with the addition of potpourri or scented candles.
