Ducks Rout Canucks In NHL Hockey Action
No comments · Posted by Ross Everett in Recreation & Sports
After losing the services of starting goalie Roberto Luongo for the indefinite future with a broken rib, the Canucks may have breathed a sigh of relief too soon after backup goalie Andrew Raycroft’s performance in his first game in relief. After an excellent effort in an overtime victory over Los Angeles, Raycroft was torched for four goals in two periods before being pulled from the game. Corey Schneider, recently recalled from Manitoba of the AHL, played the third period in net giving up three more goals as Anaheim cruised to a 7-2 victory.
Anaheim has struggled to a 4-6-1 record this season, but rewarded their backers who chose to lay the -164 price as home favorites with the Ducks. The Canucks evened their record on the season at 7-7 with the loss. The 9 combined goals put on the board sailed OVER the posted total of 6. Anaheim has gone OVER in 6 of 11 while Vancouver evened their NHL totals record at 7-7.
The Ducks snapped a four game losing streak with the offensive outburst. Corey Perry and Bobby Ryan each tallied two goals and an assist in the lopsided victory. Mike Brown had the eventual game winning goal in the second period with his first career shorthanded marker, and even enforcer George Parros got in on the act with his first goal of the year. Jonas Hiller was sharp in goal for Anaheim, stopping 36 of 38 shots in the victory.
Vancouver’s problem this season has been not getting enough shots on goal and giving up too many. In the shootout victory over Los Angeles on Thursday, they were outshot 29-12 in regulation. They’d been kept in a number of games they should have lost due to the goaltending virtuosity of Luongo, and this game didn’t bode well for his absence. This was only the second time in eight games Vancouver has allowed more than two goals, a testimony to the ungodly skill of Luongo more than their defensive tenacity. They actually held a 38-34 shots on goal advantage despite the one sided tally on the big scoreboard.
Raycroft is expected to be back between the pipes for Vancouver’s next game, a Sunday home date against the Colorado Avalanche. The Canucks will host the New York Rangers on Tuesday night before a road game against the Minnesota Wild on Thursday. Anaheim will play at Phoenix on Saturday night before returning to the Honda Center for the next two games. They’ll host the defending Stanley Cup champion Pittsburgh Penguins on Tuesday before welcoming the Nashville Predators to southern California later in the week.

You have an online business and you want to dominate the search engines, how do you carry on? A great way to generate traffic is by submitting quality articles online.
I cannot stress how important information is. Millions of people search the internet to retrieve information.
You have great articles, so what? When you write articles you then need to submit them to blogs, directories and submission sites.
You can provide a number of back links for every article so that you can lead your readers to your website. That’s generating traffic.
However, you can’t expect to rank no. 1 in google by simply submitting your article to a singular article directory. That would be nonsense.
So you need to submit them to as many sites as possible. But you will know that doing this manually can take so much time.
So how do you submit your articles without investing so much of your precious time in it. You need an article submission tool. One example is Unique Article Wizard.
You only need to choose the theme of the article that you’re submitting and its subcategories and then Unique Article Wizard will submit the articles to the appropriate websites.
Don’t think however that you’ll see results overnight because that rarely happens.
If you’re using a keyword that’s pretty competitive, you’ll probably have to wait for a little longer before you can see your site moving significantly up the ranks.
But if you want to periodically check the progress of your articles, you can do so.
You can run a rank check report by putting in the terms that you’re using with the articles. You will then be able to see your article and see how it’s faring in the search engines.
Thanks for checking out this article. To see how you can make money on the internet then checkout my website. Another site I recommend taking a look at is my friends turbo traffic system site.

Goonies for life! If you were a child of the eighties, you certainly remember this classic. If you haven’t seen it yet, think Stand By Me meets Indiana Jones meets Pirates of the Caribbean. The end result is a thrilling, funny, exciting, and really fun adventure flick that entertains everybody of every age no matter who you are. If it’s been awhile, put it on your movie downloads queue and relive the eighties with one of the all time great family adventure films.
The movie focuses on Mikey Walsh and his band of “Goonies”, kids from the docks area of Astoria, Oregon. The kids are sort of the outcasts, the rejects, the ne’er do wells of the town, who have a long on-going rivalry with the rich kids. This rivalry comes to a head when the local rich guys plan to foreclose on the neighborhood and turn it into a golf course.
The Goonies take it upon themselves to save the Boon Docks. They start by getting into the attic, where Mike’s dad, a museum curator, has a bunch of old pirate stuff stashed. They find a treasure map leading them to an old restaurant on the coast. The restaurant is run by the Fratellis, a low rent crime family led by Ma Fratelli, a serious ball buster who takes a sort of Bates Motel approach to mothering her children, played by Robert Davi and Joe Pantoliano. They have to figure out how to get under the restaurant to get the treasure without alerting the Fratellis and…
It sounds like a lot of information to take in all at once: Pirates, the mafia, buried treasure, foreclosures… But if you just stay along for the ride, you don’t have to worry about keeping track of all that. Just enjoy it for what it is, a fast paced, action filled adventure romp through caves and crypts, culminating in a showdown on an underground pirate ship.
Really, the movie’s all about fun. It’s a really silly, fun, exciting movie, partly because it doesn’t go all the way into fantasy territory. Unlike Monster Squad, everything that happens in The Goonies technically COULD happen in real life… It’s not very likely, but within the context of the film, it feels about as real as anything in Stand by Me. This really helps it inspire you with a sense of adventure in your every day life.
When the film came out, it was considered to be a little TOO fast paced, with booby traps and swordfights breaking out at the drop of a hat. However, when compared to the manic pace of most modern children’s films, The Goonies is downright laid back.
Regardless, the film is a classic of the eighties era of adventure movies. Back when Indiana Jones was big, you had a bunch of people who wanted to join in and put their own spin on it. The Goonies was actually devised by Spielberg himself, so it was sort of his own take on his own ideas: Put kids in place of Indiana Jones.
However you look at it, the movie’s a classic. It’s sort of like Indiana Jones with kids in the lead. If you have fond memories of the film from your childhood, give it another watch, and keep it on your hard drive to share with your own kids one of these days.
Both she and Delko are shot by a sniper from a high-rise building. whilte movie It will become a small element of your style and you’ll never lose it. Part of the reason it is hard not to get hooked on Entourage is that the characters are strong, fascinating and complex.

Two Important Prosecutors Go After Debt Collection Agencies
No comments · Posted by Mallory Megan in Finance
It was revealed in recent news that top legal prosecutors in Washington and Louisiana announced actions they had taken against accounts receivable management firms and their owners and managers.
Louisiana’s attorney general James Caldwell announced on Friday that his office had gotten a hold of injunctions against two collection agencies and their owners. On the same day, Rob McKenna, Washington’s Attorney General said that his office had settled charges with a collection agency that had promised to stay on the straightened arrow. In a press release, Caldwell’s office stated that in late December they had gotten a hold of an injunction against Bush and Kennedy, Inc, a Baton Rouge based collection company. The order he won placed restrictions on the business, banning them from operating further, and specifically, ordered that two of the firm’s principals, Quay W. Pattott Jr, and William S. Fesguson were banned from conducting business together.
Late last week, a judge hit Ferguson and Parrott with additional injunctions as was requested by Caldwell’s office. Ferguson is barred from using deceptive and unfair acts and practices at his current place of business, Franklin, Grant and Associates Incorporated, a collection agency based out of Metairie Louisiana. Parrott is completely restricted against conducting any new business at his new place of work, Metairie based Halsey and Associates, LLC.
McKenna’s Washington office said that Topco Financial Services Inc, a Washington based collection agency agreed not to threaten, harass or curse out debtors as part of a settlement. The collection agency has been ordered to pay around $38,000 in legal fees and penalties. An additional $82,000 in fees and penalties were suspended provided that the company agrees with the settlement terms.
As per the agreement, Topco is restricted from harassing, intimidating, threatening and embarrassing debtors, including using profanity. They are banned from implying that failure to pay an unpaid bill will result in a revocation, suspension or impairment of the debtor’s driver’s license. They are no longer allowed to threaten consumers with impairment of their credit rating. However, the agency is permitted to report debts legally to credit reporting agencies.

A Few Tips On How Sash Windows Work
No comments · Posted by Joshua Lieberman in Real Estate
Many feel that old, double-hung sash windows are a necessary feature on ‘period’ homes. They should never be replaced except as a final solution after everything else has been tried. They’re worth saving for lots of reasons and they’re not too difficult to restore. Here’s how sash windows work, or, sometimes, don’t work.
Some guy who makes his living restoring older homes was once overheard saying that people who lived in older homes often have never seen some of their windows (or all of them) work as was intended when they were first installed. The good news is this isn’t that difficult or expensive to remedy. Some repairs you might do yourself.
Sometimes, all it takes to fix an inoperable sash window is the removal of a zillion coats of paint. If the window has been there for decades (or centuries, even), there’s a good chance it’s taken a few coats of paint. Sometimes one right over the last, right over the last again.
One common problem with old sash windows is the internal system of weights and chains (or ropes) getting old and tired. If only one side breaks it might still work a little (just not easily), but if both sides are broken you’ll most likely get no movement. The weights are used as a counter-balance to the weight and movement of the sashes. Access to the chains or ropes and weights is made through a cover plate on the frame.
It’s natural for the chains or ropes holding up the counter-weights to wear out after long decades of use. You may want to hire someone to do this job. If you get someone who does this kind of restoration as his/her main line of business, they should be able to fix you up pretty fast.
Here’s the best advice. Old sash windows should be repaired rather than replaced. They’re already old and been doing their job with little appreciation. They would love it if you decided to fix them up, good as new. You’d love it too. Modern, trendy, plastic windows just don’t look good on an older house.
Here’s some more advice. If you hire someone to fix your house, hire someone who knows how sash windows work. Better yet, hire someone who does nothing else in their business other than restore old windows. A specialist… That’s the ticket. They’re out there, somewhere in your area, and probably on the Internet too. Take a look.
